The SEA Team has embarked on two studies to prove the SEA
methodology on both secondary catchments scale and Water
Management Area (WMA) level, respectively.
The secondary catchment study (Mhlathuze
Catchment in KwaZulu-Natal) was finished in September 2000.
The WMA level study (Usutu
to Mhlathuze WMA) was started in October 2000 and will run until
December 2001 with a three month extension (to March 2001).
