Scientific and technical support:
Aim of scientific and technical support
Scientific and technical support is carried out by all scientific
and technical staff within the IWQS. This service is provided
internally, within the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry,
and to external organisations
and individuals, either locally, nationally or internationally.
Members of the IWQS also represent the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry
on a large number of committees such as such as project steering committees
organised by other government departments and the Water
Research Committee, where they provide scientific
guidance.
