26 May Sandton Convention Centre, Gauteng South African Sanitation Day: Launch of Sanitation and Hygiene Week: Meeting MDG and national targets, Declaration by the relevant Political Heads in taking up the AfricaSan Conference in response to eThekwini Declaration during AfricaSan+5 Declaration.
Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Olifants River Water Resource Development Project (ORWRDP): The key objective is the signing of the MOA with mining houses for ORWRDP.
27 May Matjhabeng Municipality, Free State Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement: The Minister of Water Affairs and Forestry will be visiting Waste-Water Treatment Plants to ensure that the Water Service Authority comply with current legislation and come up with an integrated approach to ensure compliance to relevant legislation.
29 May Ethekwini, KwaZulu-Natal Operation and Maintenance (O&M): Pit Emptying: Awareness and best practise on pit emptying initiatives and general O&M issues in partnership with the South African Local Government Association (SALGA).
30 May Amathole DM, Buffalo City LM, Eastern Cape Gijima for Health and Dignity: Meeting the water services to Clinics targets Celebrations. Celebrating the 1st target met in the water sector, profiling “Operation Gijima Strategy” and handover of facilities to the Minister of Health.
