The Olifants River and its smaller tributaries are responsible for the drainage of this area. The Olifants River enters this catchment area at the most Southern part of the region.  This area has a very low annual rainfall which minimizes the drainage from the smaller tributaries in the rest of the region. The main reservoir in this region is Arabie Dam near the town of  Marble Hall in the most Southern part.

The main features in this area are  residential areas, game farms and small irrigation schemes.
