In terms of section 164 of the National Water Act, 1998 (Act No.36 of 1998), read with section 13(3) of the Interpretation Act, 1957 (Act No. 33 of 1957), I hereby determine 1 JANUARY 1999 as the date on which sections 33(1), 33(2) and 33(3) of Chapter 4 of the National Water Act will come into effect.
