  WATER USER ASSOCIATION
Water user associations (WUAs) are statutory bodies established by the Minister.
They are cooperative single or multiple sector associations of individual water
users who wish to undertake water-related activities on a local scale for their
mutual benefit. As such, they are important stakeholders for the CMA. Certain
catchment management functions may be delegated to a WUA by a CMA, to be
implemented in line with the catchment management strategy.
